I’m considering replacing my old patio doors and aluminum sliding doors caught my attention. I’ve heard they can be lightweight and low-maintenance, but I’m unsure about their longevity. Can anyone share their real-world experience?

Specifically, I’m wondering, do aluminum sliding doors last long? Are they prone to wear, warping, or corrosion over time, especially in humid or coastal areas? I’d love to know how they hold up compared to wooden or uPVC doors. Any tips on maintenance or brands that are particularly reliable would be greatly appreciated.
